How often should I bath my dog?
How often you bath your dog can depend very much on the breed and of course how dirty your dog gets. A good
rule of thumb is about every four weeks to help keep the dogs skin and coat clean and keep their natural oils spread out to help condition.
If you have a dog with a very thick coat which tends to get wet and muddy when out walking, then you may have to bath your dog more often than this. Always use a nice moisturising dog shampoo, and coconut oil or a natural conditioner will help to maintain the moisture in your dog’s fur.
If you get your dog used to being bathing from an early age, they will get used to the routine and learn to enjoy the experience. The Kleendog Bath System is perfect for home bathing as it creates a wet and dry section of the bath so shampooing, rinsing and drying can all take place in the bath tub helping to make your dog feel safe and secure.
Using a good quality micro-fibre towel such as the Kleendog Bath Robe helps to absorb most of the water from your dog’s coat after bathing, helping it to dry quickly.
